Back to Georgetown

After my brainwashing experience at the Georgetown library, I decided to take another go at my fellow Jesuit school. I ventured to there again this past Sunday on the brisk autumn day that followed Hurricane Sandy.

I had an entirely different encounter with Georgetown this time. It felt so refreshing to be on a college campus again. I went for an interview for my thesis, so needed to enter deeper into campus more. The campus is absolutely beautiful. There really is something special about walking along the sidewalks of a college or university that is thrilling, yet as familiar as home. Just walking the grounds made me miss Holy Cross.

Don't be mistaken. I love city-living and actually wish I spent more time in the actual city than I do, but there is something about walking along a college's terrain during the autumn. More than that, I deeply miss taking English courses and analyzing classic literature. I would not trade this semester for the world, but a small taste of the real world is giving me a more sincere appreciation for my life at Holy Cross.

After the interview (which was very insightful), I walked M street to Foggy Bottom.
